We had our appointment this morning, we heard the baby’s heartbeat again - 158 bpm nice and strong.  Unfortunately, we didn’t get an ultrasound - that’s scheduled for 2 weeks from now.  At that ultrasound, assuming baby is cooperative, we will find out if we’re having a little boy or girl.  I still have not gained any weight at all - which I find really odd because my belly is definitely bigger.  I thought for sure that I would have gained weight this time, I guess it’s because I’ve been really watching what I eat, eating plenty but making sure it’s healthy for baby.  I just can’t wait to see the ultrasound and get some assurance that baby is doing just fine.  Two more weeks, they’ll crawl by at a snail’s pace I’m sure!

Our next appointment is Wednesday, we’re hoping for another ultrasound but I’m not sure we’ll be that lucky.  We have about 2 and a half weeks to wait to find out if we’re having a little boy or girl, and we’re both dying to know!

We went to Babies R Us and spent some time wandering around and checking out all the nifty things.  We’ve kept ourselves from buying anything just yet - we want to know if we’re having a boy or girl first, but it was fun to look.  A few people have commented now on how nice it is that Shannon likes to check out baby stuff as much as me.  It is very nice, we planned this pregnancy and we waited a long, long time, so we’re both equally excited to shop for baby gadgets and goodies.  Shannon goes to all of my doctor appointments with me, and he’s just as excited as I am to get to see a new ultrasound picture!
